I just watched SGA 3.10, the Return Part I, and...
seriously, I'm stunned I never heard about the tidbit, seeing as how I haven't attempted to keep myself spoiler free, and Return-era fics are among my favorites (because they are SO GOOD) but...I don't know.  Maybe fandom just nodded knowingly at this one and decided to share winks instead of words, so if someone happens to read this post, and that is the case, let me know and I'll join that in-crowd, but THE PRINCESS BRIDE, JOHN????

And you quote from the book, but pretend it's from the movie because that's the kind of secret dork you are?  AND you don't use a funny line, or a cute line, or even a funny line, but the line that when you are twelve and in the midst of loving reading, and you read that line, and you're like: "Fuck, it's true!  FUCK."

Anyways.  I'll say no more about it.  Maybe I will finally start friending people in hopes of finding out more about this amazing amazing thing.  Sometimes, I  convince myself that SGA, while awesome, is not that that great, and it's really fandom that I love.  But then I watch an episode like 3.10, and it's all so so good and I'm a little more in love with the world than I was before.

QUOTING FROM THE BOOK.!

Yeah, I'd totally forgotten about this, but it does warm my heart.

Also, hello! I...don't believe we've met, but feel free to correct me. (I'm horrible at names in all walks of life.)
